WeChat Shuts Down Its Office In Nigeria

WeChat, a mobile text and voice messaging communication service, developed by Chinese firm, Tencent, and released in the year 2011 has decided to close down all it physical offices in Nigeria.

Over the years, WeChat has labelled itself as one of the world's top messaging apps. In Africa, it is been managed by Naspers as it is one of the investors in Tencent. But why did they come up with this decision:?: :oops:

According to reports, WeChat is closing down its offices in Nigeria and not its app/social media service. And they are reportedly moving to South Africa.

Office of WeChat Nigeria has been on record in aggressive publicity for some months. Although, collaborations with Nigerian startups is part of their activities in the country.
