Checkout The New YouTube Play As You Browse Feature

In a bid to improve users experience, popular video sharing platform, YouTube, is set to release a new feature that will allow videos on the homepage to auto-play while you scroll to it. This new feature is also called "Play as You Browse", and hopefully, it will be available for update on the Playstore sooner than later.

The Play-As-You-Browse feature allows the YouTube mobile app to automatically play video on the homepage when you scroll to it. The video auto-play is without sound, but it accompanies subtitles, which gives you insight on what the video is all about.

With this, you can see a complete video without clicking on it. However, the playback will stop as soon as you scroll up or down, resulting in the current visible video on your screen being auto-played.

For data-consious users, YouTube provided an option to disable the play as you browse feature. Simply navigate to Account » Settings » General. You can also set it to be enabled only when your device is connected to Wi-Fi.

The official release date of this new feature was not mentioned, but the feedback it gets from the testers will determine how soon it will roll out to the general public.
