Microsoft Edge Browser Will Hit Android And iOS Devices Soon

Tech giant, Microsoft, is inches away from officially bringing the Edge browser to Android and iOS smartphones, as the company has started a beta testing program for Windows Insiders to give Egde mobile a trial.

Edge browser gained popularity as a computer browser. Now, it is set to be available on iOS and Android devices, where users will be able to synchronize their activities including recent visited pages on both platforms. This means that if you use the web browser on both your PC and mobile device, you can start browsing from your mobile device and finish it up in your PC.

Microsoft Edge will be able to push pages to and from the PC so you can continue your browsing on multiple devices. The browser will also sync bookmarks, history and reading lists and brings its Reading View to mobile - with it you can eliminate the links, ads and design clutter from an article and focus only on the text.

Unfortunately, unlike Google Chrome, you won't be able sync tabs for now with Edge browser. But this browser still has some advantages on Windows 10 PCs over others like Firefox, Chrome, etc. They include smooth UI and ability to work fast with HTML5 contents.

A test carried out last year by Microsoft proved that Google Chrome drains laptops battery more than any other browser, while Edge browser is the untimate battery saver. It's also catching up in terms of browser plug-ins. Not least of all Edge works best with Windows Precision drivers for your laptop's trackpad bringing the smoothest multitouch zoom and gestures on Windows 10.

You can also join the Windows Insider program to get a glimpse of how Microsoft Edge browser will look like on Android and iOS.
