Nokia 6 Receives Android Oreo beta Update; 3rd Phone From HMD to do so

Since HMD Global took over the production of Nokia phones, they've released over 5 smartphones. Interestingly, Nokia 6 will be the third device from the company to join the Android Oreo beta program, after Nokia 5 and Nokia 8. So, users of Nokia 6 can either join the beta program to have a taste of Android Oreo, or wait for HMD to release the final version of the update.

Meanwhile, if you want to download Android Oreo beta on your Nokia 6 smartphone, you must subscribe to Nokia Mobile Beta Labs. But if testing new software is something you don't fancy, just wait for the final release, which will come sooner rather than later.

Since this is the first time Nokia 6 will be receiving a mobile operating system update, some bugs may likely accompany the beta version of Android Oreo, while some features might not work as intended. Well, that's why HMD is taking some time to test the Android Oreo build before it's being rolled out to users.

Also on the line for another Android Oreo update is Nokia 3, as confirmed by HMD. But we might not see that until 2018.
