It's so unfortunate that Airtel NG ended year 2017 by scrapping off her unlimited data packages, and they're starting this new year with another sad update. The telco giant has placed 20 megabytes (MB) daily limit for accessing Free Facebook.
Before now, all Airtel users could chat, view status, react and comment on friends posts without data and airtime using the Free Facebook mode. But according to the text message sent round, users will now be given only 20MB only to access free facebook everyday.
The SMS reads: “Dear customer, pls be informed that Free Facebook service is now capped at 20MB daily. For Unlimited Facebook experience, dial *141# to activate a data.”
Once you exhaust the free 20MB, you won't be able to chat or do anything else on Facebook until the next day where you'll be given another 20MB, or simply subscribe to a data plan. 9Mobile is a good alternative too, as they also offers Free Facebook service. But we hope they don't follow Airtel's footsteps.
Please don't bother to use the trick of viewing photos on free facebook now that it's been capped at 20MB - the data will disappear in the blink of an eye. Kindly inform your friends about this by using the share buttons below.
