Xiaomi is set to release Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Mi Mix 2 smartphone, after doing so for mid-range Mi A1 couple of days ago. The Chinese manufacturer is now on the look out for testers for the Mi Mix 2's Android Oreo beta program.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 was launched in September last year running Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, and its predecessor was one of the smartphones that started the bezel-less display trend which many other manufacturers adopted.
The recruitment is made for the global version of the highly-anticipated update, but requirement for all interested Mi Mix 2 owners is that you must be using the latest MIUI Global Developer ROM, I. e the latest stable version of Android.
Application for the beta program will run until the end of January 8. Participants are welcomed from all regions, however, English language will be used in communicating.
