OnePlus has officially confirmed that Face Unlock will be available on OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T via a software update. This is coming just a week after the same feature was added to OnePlus 5 through OxygenOS 5.0 update which is based on Android Oreo.
Meanwhile, OnePlus 5T is the first smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer to come with the Face Unlock feature straight from the box.
OnePlus' co-founder Carl Pei, in an interview with CNET, gave assurance that OnePlus 3 and 3T will be getting the Face Unlock feature. The security feature will be introduced with another beta build of OxygenOS in a future date, before the final version is released.
OnePlus is well known for added new features and rolling out timely software updates for both its new and old handsets. Such a great brand!
