HTC U11 EYEs Launched Featuring Squeezable Edge Sensitivity

HTC U11 EYEs is the first smartphone to be launched by the Chinese company. It sports a 5.99-inch Super LCD3 display at 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution, with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection against screen cracks and scratches. It features an amazing squeezable Edge Sense pressure-sensitive frame, which lets you perform customized tasks (e.g, starting an app, snapping a photo, etc) when you squeeze the phone.

HTC U11 EYEs, according to the name, is a camera centric handset. It comes with a 12 megapixel f/1.7 Ultrapixel 3 rear camera with dual LED flash, PDAF with support for 4K video. For selfies, the smartphone features a dual camera setup of 5MP + 5MP front-facing sensor, equipped with LED flash. The phone has a face recognition function, and the U11 EYEs is actually the first smartphone from HTC to feature this.

In terms of performance, HTC U11 EYEs uses 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, which can be further expanded via microSD card. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset, it runs Android 8.0 Oreo straight from the box, and uses 3930mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

Other specifications includes: IP67 certification for dust and water resistance, 4G LTE support, and fingerprint scanner. HTC U11 EYES will be available before the end of January with a price tag of $500, which is about N180,000 in Nigeria.
