iOS 11 now Installed on 65% of iPhones and iPads According to Apple

Yesterday, American OEM Apple released the data of iOS distribution at a macro level. Unlike Google who publishes monthly updates pertaining to the distribution of various Android versions, Apple doesn't have to do that. The recently released statistics is about the iOS 11 adoption, including comparisons of the performance details of previous versions of the operating system in comparison.

According to Apple, 65% of iPhones and iPads are now powered by latest iOS 11, while 28% of iDevices run the previous iOS 10 and just 7% are stock using earlier versions of iOS. This is a recent stat, as the numbers were measured by the App Store on the 18th of January.

As at last year December, 60% of devices where using iOS 11, while December distribution numbers released by Google showed less than 1% of devices are running Android Oreo. The iOS 11 will continue to have a positive growth in the number of devices using the operating system as long as Apple users continue to switch to newer devices or update their current one.
