I introduce to you the first smartphone from the stables of HMD Global this year, dubbed Nokia 6 2nd Generation. This device poses as an upgrade to last year's Nokia 6, with few specifications modifications. It will be available for purchase only in China, carrying $230 price tag.

Nokia 6 2nd generation sports 5.5-inch display with full HD (1080p) resolution. For photo and videos duties, the device features the same 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and 8-megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies as with the regular Nokia 6. The new addition in the Nokia 6 2nd Gen is the Bothie mode which is only present on the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 phones.
In terms of memory, the second generation Nokia 6 comes in two variants: 32GB storage plus 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage plus the same 4GB RAM. It comes with an upgraded 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 CPU, and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat which is quite disappointing. But HMD promised an Oreo update will be released soon.
The new phone boasts of an advanced audio system powered by OZO Audio recording, an enhanced spatial audio technology with 3D capture and playback functionality. It also offers high fidelity 360-degree sound captured with the smartphone. The fingerprint scanner of the Nokia 6 2nd Generation has been moved to back, unlike the previous model which came with a physical home button.
As for the pricing and availability, Nokia 6 2nd Generation will cost $230 for the 32GB variant, and $245 for the 64GB model. Both handsets will be available for purchase in China starting from January 10.
