Render of HTC U12 Revealed; No Front Fingerprint Scanner

HTC's 2018 roadmap revealed the Chinese manufacturer will be launching a successor to the U11+ in a future date, which will be dubbed HTC U12. The U11+ has the most modern design and specs ever seen on an HTC phone. And probably, HTC U12 will come with all its features, alongside thin bezels, IP68 certification rating and a larger battery capacity.

A render allegedly showing the front of the HTC U12 has surfaced from a fairly-known source. The image reveals the upcoming phone sporting very thin bezels, besides being rumoured to come with a 4K display. It will likely be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, and will feature a dual rear camera setup.

The fingerprint scanner won't be placed in front of the HTC U12 phone, as its bezel-less display leaves no room to accommodate it. Instead, it'll be mounted at the back under the display, or replaced completely with some other type of biometrics.

Gone are those day when HTC was ruling the smartphone world. Fans hope this upcoming HTC U12 will restore the company's lost glory.
