Security Changes Added to Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Thanks to new Update

Korean OEM—Samsung has made a new software upgrade available for the Galaxy Note 8. The update is now rolling out weighing about 707MB, thus, expected to come with a massive changelog because of the heavy size. But on the contrary, the added features are suspiciously small.

January's Android security patch is the only new addition stated in the list. It provides fixes for 13 vulnerabilities found in Samsung's software and 6 Android-specific exploits. We do suspect that there could be more to this update, so if you notice any changes after installation, let us know in the comment section.

The update is now available in France, hopefully, it should be pushed out to other countries in few days to come. You can manually check if the update has reached you by going to Settings, then tap on About Device and Software Updates. If it is, kindly ensure your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is charged above 70% and has a Wi-Fi network connectivity before downloading the update.
