Google Search for iOS to be Flooded With Series of new Features

Google is prepping loads of new features to be added to Search on iOS. This was announced by the the tech giant itself, coming few days after Google gave confirmation of important changes coming to its Search app to provide more explicit results to queries.

Google Search for iOS

First on the list, and most importantly is the addition of iMessage extension for Search users on iOS. Thanks to this feature, you can search and share GIFs, as well as restaurant and videos, whenever you message a friend.

Your favorite locations can also be shared with the help of icons like “Food” and “Nearby,” which also lets you carry out a search and send a card straight into the conversation. To enjoy this feature, no additional updates are needed if you already have the Google app installed on your iPhone or iPad.

Google will also roll out a major enhancement that will enable users discover and explore from any webpage in Safari. With this new feature, whenever you share a webpage with Google, the app will show you suggestions for related content, which will allow you to learn more about the topic. It's worth noting that this function is not restricted to Safari, but is available in all browsers installed on your iOS device.

Lastly, drag and drop options are now available to search, save, or share on iPad, courtesy of this latest update. Users with iPad running iOS 11 will now be able to perform these actions with images, text, and links to and from the Google app.

The new iMessage extensions support is currently available only in the US, but will be extended to other countries and languages soon, says Google.
