Checkout Screenshot of a Smartphone Running Android 9.0 P

Works on Android P is currently on top gear, and thanks to a screenshot shared on the Android Developers Blog, we now have a glimpse of how the upcoming OS looks like. Though Google didn't want us to see it yet, so they quuckly cropped the photo shortly after posting it, but we've already gotten it. This screenshot allegedly reveals the new navigation bar for smartphones that'll run Android P.

As you can see from the image below, the navigation bar ia totally different from that of Android Oreo. Also, the time on the screen's left side and rounded corners of the dialogue box clearly hints that it is Android P. In addition, with the quickness Google used to change the image on the Developers Blog, it is safe to assume that this is Android P.

Now, there are only two icons in the new navigation bar. The multitasking button is replaced by a swipe-up gesture, and while the home button is still present, it now takes a pill shape instead of the regular solid circle icon we see on Android Oreo and older devices. The back button remains the same, although it will reportedly disappear from view when it cannot be used. For example, you won't see it when viewing your home screen.

The Android P navigation bar and other gestures will be confirmed next month at Google I/O. It is also rumoured that Android 9 will be dubbed "Popsicle" as the next dessert used to name this upcoming Android OS build. Kindly take these info with a pinch of salt while we await the annual developers conference on May 8th – 10th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre at San Francisco, California.
