See Where the Moto G6 Play Fingerprint Scanner Will be Hidden

The Moto Moto G6 line up consists of three new smartphones called Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play, and all are slated to launch in Brazil on April 19. As the date draws nearer, we've been seeing more and more leaked specs of these devices, and now we have hands-on images of the Moto G6 Play.

These new images confirmed some of the previous leaks which includes a large 5.7-inch display at an aspect ratio of 18:9, with glass body which is similar to the one on last year's Moto X4. For image duties, the Moto G6 Play will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash which are all enclosed into a large, circular module. There will be an 8-megapixel front-facing sensor, also equipped with an LED flash to take selfies even in a dark environment. Furthermore, a fingerprint scanner is embedded in the Motorola logo on the back, so just place your finger on the "M" icon at the back and the phone will be unlocked.

The image further confirms the use of a massive 4000mAh battery with support for Motorola's TurboPower fast: this will ensure the phone charges quick and the battery lasts long. Under the hood is a 1.4GHz Octa-core CPU which may likely be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 because their specs corresponds. The Moto G6 Play comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. We are not ruling out the possibilities of an external memory expansion via microSD card.

In addition, there will be a 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro-USB port in favour of of the newer USB Type-C connector. The device will run latest Android 8.1 Oreo pre-loaded, with some of the company's other features.

As for the phone's availability and price, Moto G6 Play is expected to launch alongside the regular Moto G6 and the Moto G6 Plus on April 19 in Brazil. Regarding the price, there have been no official statement, but of all three, the G6 Play is set to be the cheapest.
