While we are waiting for the reported addition of 60-minute video support on Instagram, the recently introduced resharing feature within the app has just been improved with an option that allows users of the popular photo-sharing social network to easily reshare any Stories that have mentioned them.
Before now, to reshare a story where you were mentioned, it had to be screenshotted and reposted manually after receiving a notification within your DM chat. But thanks to this latest update, you won't be going through any more stress as a new “Add This to Your Story” button now comes along with the usual DM notification which will allow you easily reshare the Story.
There are several options to resize, rotate, move around, add stickers, GIFs, or even text on the content before posting it. In addition, the original poster's username will also appear below, allowing others to check out their profile. But according to Instagram, the feature only works with public profiles.
This new version 48 update started rolling out to Android and iOS Instagram apps, and you have to download it from Google Play Store or the App Store to access the features.
In similar news, Instagram is set to increase the video length on its platform from the current 60 seconds to 60 minutes, and as time goes on, the Facebook-owned company will allow creators earn money off of the content they produce via ads, although this extra will not be available from the very start as the social media platform is yet to sign any agreements with advertisers.
