Twitter Improves its app With More Features for the World Cup

Twitter is arguably one of the most complicated social medias which may be quite confusing for first timers. The platform was built specifically to replace SMS with status updates and also to follow stars and celebrities. Now, more features has been added on Twitter, including live events feeds.

Twitter adds more live events notifications in time for the World Cup

The popular social networking platform has announced improvements to the Twitter apps where more notifications will be shown in users' timeline to follow live events as they're happening – a handy feature for the FIFA 2018 world cup. You will now receive suggestions or push notifications for events Twitter thinks you might be interested in following, and also, the Explore tab, otherwise called search, will be redesigned to expand its Moments feature.

Speaking of which, when you search for a topic, Twitter will now highlight if the topic is trending or just give a list of news stories related to it. In addition, more live video will be added at the top of the Explore tab, and a new section called "For You" will update you on tweets you've missed and more.

On the other hand, Twitter Moments will be expanded throughout the app to allow users find events and topics, with more video and top tweets from accounts they may not follow. The world cup is the perfect event to explore these new features as a search for that topic will show live video, news, and live updates on scores, before showing any tweets on the subject.
