It's arguable that Motorola is one brand that releases new smartphones in a very confusing manner. The US-based company dumped the Moto X line after releasing phones in the Style and Force series back in 2015, only for them to bounce back with the Moto X4 again last year. Now, it appears that that line is on pause again, as the Lenovo owned company now is about to roll out a new series of devices.
There have been leaks about a Motorola One and One power which are expected to launch first in China. There were also images on the company’s official Chinese website showing three new phones dubbed Motorola P30, P30 Play and P30 Note. These images have since been removed from the site.
We are not sure if these devices are related, but we do know that they have similar key specifications and color options: the standard Motorola/Moto P30 is expected to ship in Aurora, Bright Black, and Ice Jade White colors, while likely coming in two memory variants of 64GB and 128GB internal storage, coupled with 6GB RAM for smooth multitasking.
On the other hand, the Moto P30 Play poses more like a downgraded version with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage, brushed in two color options of Ice Jade White and Bright Black. Meanwhile, the bigger Motorola P30 Note carried a listing of 4GB or 6GB RAM, and 64GB of storage.
We would have to wait till the 15th of August to find out what Motorola’s deal really is.
