We are well aware that when it comes to Android operating system updates, Samsung always lags behind. While Google has already released the latest Android 9 Pie few days ago, Samsung hasn't even introduced the previous Android 8 Oreo for some of its devices.
The South Korean company, however, just published a list of Samsung-branded smartphones that are set to receive Android 8 Oreo update along with the dates.
Meanwhile, the S series, however, are considered first when it comes to updates. This means that they have the update already.
Following Samsung’s system of rolling out update, it leaves a conclusion that we won't see the new Android 9.0 Pie in its mid-range devices until around this time next year.
