China-based smartphone OEM, Tecno is on the verge of introducing Tecno Spark, an Android phone made specifically for the youths and which will debut under the new spark series.

Just like Camon C9 and the likes are in the Camon series, WX4 in W series and Boom J8 in boom series. Tecno Spark will be the first phone to be added to the Spark series.
By the look of things, Tecno Spark may replace the boom series, and it'll accompany features and specifications which will catch the eye of younger segment of smartphone buyers in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and other countries where the devices are expected to be shipped.

The battery and memory specs of Tecno Spark are yet to be revealed. Meanwhile, reports states that the brand is aiming to be “the camera smartphone of choice” in all its markets. With this, their competition starts with Gionee.
Tecno Spark is expected to cost around Ksh 10,000 in Kenya (about NGN 35,000 in Nigeria or USD 96) for the standard version. The phone should hit the market in mid-August, with Kenya likely being the first to launch the device.
