Google Chrome About to get Ability to Mute Autoplay Videos Feature, but...

Google's beta channel for chrome is already loaded with new features which the tech giant plans to release publicly in a future update. One major headache to Chrome users is autoplaying videos, which google promised—few months ago—to address in Chrome 64, but we might not be seeing that untill January.

Well, the new chrome beta version 64 is now out and it accompanies the option to mute autoplay videos, however, you'll have to do that manually for each website that uses these videos. This feature help users save data when browsing as once you block a website, all audio content should remain blocked on that domain.

Also on the list of features to be added are improved pop-up blocker and better security against malicious redirects, which stops websites from sending users to other unintended websites through abusive experiences. Lately, a lot of Chrome users have laid complaints of some third-party websites doing this to capture clicks and open new tabs or windows, we hope this enhanced pop-up blocker will put an end to this.
