Surprise Android Oreo Update hits Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung has started rolling out the official version of its Experience 9.0 overlay based on Android Oreo. Last year's flagship Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ were the first smartphones from the brand to receive the update. Now, the software has hit a Galaxy S7 edge unit in Vietnam, which is quite surprising.

This update for Samsung Galaxy S7 edge with model number G935F, as we can see from the screenshot above (in Vietnamese language), weighs 1.4GB and should come with a massive changelog. In a bid to give you a taste of this new software, a video has been uploaded on YouTube showing the device runing Samsung Experience 9.0.

The 2:44 minutes clip shows newly added features on the S7, such as Bixby Home, new Edge Lighting effects, more clock widgets, and enhancements to Samsung's various apps. However, Bixby Vision amongst other functionalities are not present, hopefully, a future beta update will bring them.

The video also brings-to-mind that it is a beta version of Samsung Galaxy S7 Oreo update. It's still cool since the Korean company haven't announced any official public beta program.
