How Funny that Microsoft now Sells More Android Phones than Windows'

A visit to Microsoft's official website seemed more like a sad tale. Windows-based phones were once a big name in the smartphone industry, but there is nothing left to bring home about them. The company's online store now has more Android phones in stock than its indigenous phones.

Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S8+, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and Razer Phone are the Android smartphones that are currently available in Microsoft's U.S. store, while only two Windows phones models are left in stock: HP Elite x3 and Alcatel Idol 4S which has even been heavily discounted to $599 and $199, respectively.

Microsoft Operating Systems Group Vice President, Joe Belfiore confirmed last year October that Windows 10 Mobile is dead and heading to the graveyard; bringing an end to the production of any Windows Mobile-related software and hardware.

Microsoft is now focusing on enhancing and expanding its software portfolio for Android and iOS, that's why the Microsoft Edge browser has been made available on the aforementioned platforms. The company also develops many popular apps for these two leading platforms, from Office tools to Microsoft Launcher, which they recommends you install on the Android handsets they're selling.

So, in one way or the other, Microsoft is inside your phone. Other brands would have shut down after going through all these setbacks, but Microsoft didn't, they moved on; and that's life!
