Few weeks ago, we learnt that the Xiaomi Mi 6X would be unveiled on the 25th of this month, and it is very true. The Chinese company has successfully launched this smartphone and it'll likely be dubbed the Mi A2, standing as an upgrade to last year's Mi A1.

Xiaomi Mi 6X sports a 5.99-inch LCD display at 1080 x 2160 FHD+ resolution, with an aspect ratio of 18:9. In terms of performance, it is powered by an Octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC mobile platform with Adreno 512 GPU. The handset comes in three variants of 4GB RAM plus 64GB inbuilt storage, 6GB of RAM with 64GB of native storage and 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can further be expanded via microSD card.

For images and videos duties, the Mi 6X features a pair of 20-megapixel rear camera, each sporting an aperture of f/1.75, and another 20MP front-facing shooter for selfies. The cameras use AI to analyze the subject, the scene and the lighting conditions to optimize a photo. The phone runs Android 8.1 based on MIUI 9.5, featuring Bluetooth 5.0 and a 3010mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 to keep the lights on.

Additionally, the Xiaomi Mi 6X has Face Unlock functionality, but there is no 3.5mm headphone jack present. As for the price, the 4GB RAM/64GB storage model will cost 1599 Chinese Yuan ($253 or ₦90000), the 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant will be priced at 1,799 Chinese Yuan ($285 or ₦102000) and the 128GB storage model is going for 1,999 Chinese Yuan ($316 or ₦113000).
