Loading airtime is one of the many challenges of using a phone, especially if you're buying from roadside vendors who don't know. Sometimes, the card won't enter and that may lead to an argument, but that's not where we're heading to now. The main news is that MTN NG has increased its recharge card digit number from 16 to 17 digits.

It seems MTN keeps running out of PINs as in some years back, recharge card digits number used to be 12, then it later got bumped to 16-digits, and now we have 17-digits. Cool? I don't think so because it will take an awful long time for subscribers to successfully load a recharge card PIN. Maybe we will be counting 20 digits by 2020.
MTN Nigeria stressed that despite the change, the old 16 digits vouchers carries the same value with the new 17 digits recharge code. The former is also still valid and usable until it gradually finishes in the market, then the 17 digits PIN will take over. Kindly share this with friends and tell us if you've spotted this kind of recharge card in your area.
