New WhatsApp bug: Blocked Contacts are now Able to Message you

WhatsApp has been hit by a bug which gives users serious headache. Courtesy of this bug, blocked contacts are now somehow able to send messages to the people who blocked them in the first place, and additionally, these blocked accounts can now also read the status and profile details of those WhatsApp members who blocked them.



Using the block button on someone is definitely for a reason or two, and it will be upsetting and very uncomfortable to suddenly receive messages from such a person, or see his/her name among those who viewed your WhatsApp status. This bug is present both on the WhatsApp iOS and Android versions, and it is a big embarrassment to the Facebook-owned company which spent $21 billion for the instant messenger, and yet, can't handle simple blocking function.

To only solution to this problem is to unblock the blocked account and block it again, as of the time of this writing, WhatsApp hasn't made any statement concerning the bug, let alone fix it.
