BlackBerry is one company that is well-known for providing its own version of Android which is made available to licensees in a well secured format and without malwares. This is why–from time to time–there is always a security update for its devices.
Speaking of which, BlackBerry has already started pushing out August security update for the Blackberry KEY2. It is worth noting that the more-recently Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are just receiving the July security update.
This new update, with software version ABE181, is sized at 400MB. But before installing it, make sure that the phone is connected to an hotspot and also ensure your phone's battery is fully charged or plugged to a power source.
Meanwhile, if you don't get the BlackBerry August security patch update notification, simply go to settings > systems update > check for “updates now” to install it manually.
