How To Hide Your Online Status On Instagram

You have probably figured that WhatsApp and Facebook let you hide your a status information on their platforms. The reasons for preventing your status activity from showing up are best known to you. Likewise, Instagram follows suit as it operates similarly to its relative platforms - Facebook and WhatsApp.

Instagram shows your activeness by default but allows its users to modify the settings to their preferences. If you're in the category of users that rather not let people know when you are active in real-time, you can turn off the feature from the Show Activity Status option.

STEPS TO CHANGE THE VISIBILITY OF YOUR ONLINE STATUS

• Launch the Instagram app
• Tap on the profile icon situated below at the extreme right
• Select the three-lined icon at the top right where you will access "Settings"
• Tap on "Privacy" and choose "Activity Status"

• Toggle the option as desired

You should also take note that toggling off your "Activity Status" will only affect your followers (fans). Users that you follow or have established a private chat with can still know your "last seen" time information
