  • On the top right of the group text page, tap the kebab menu (icon with 3 vertical dots).
  • From the menu that appears, tap the Add or Remove People option.
  • In the Find Contacts box, enter the name or number of the person you want to remove from the group text.
  • Once you’ve found that person, tap on the contact to uncheck the box next to it, effectively removing the person from the group text.

  • Tap the Done button for the changes to take effect.

Step 1: On your Android device’s home screen, locate and tap on the native messaging app.

Step 3: Tap on the kebab menu at the top right of the conversation lines page. This menu appears as an icon with three vertical dots.

Step 4: After tapping on the kebab menu, a menu will appear with the options you can do for that specific group text.

From the list of options, tap the Add or Remove People option.

Step 5: Once in the Add or Remove People menu, find the contact you want to remove from the group.

You can scroll through your contact list until you see that person’s name.

However, the easiest way to find this contact is to type the contact’s name or number in the Find Contacts box.

Step 6: After finding the named contact, you will see a checkmark next to that contact’s name. This means that the person is part of the group text.

To delete this contact, tap once on the contact’s name.

Step 7: After deleting the contact, tap on the “Done” button for the changes to take effect.

You will know if you have successfully deleted this person when the tick disappears and the name is removed from the contact list.
