I think Xiaomi fans should start yelling 'we don't want an iPhone clone' on the top of their voices. Spy shots of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, the flagship phone from this Chinese OEM —and a possible update to Mi Mix 2, has been leaked on popular social media —Weibo.
Seems Xiaomi has no room for original ideas!
If we are to go by the spy pictures, then the next Mi Mix 2S will sport a bezel-less display with an iPhone X-style cutout on top. What this means is that the selfie camera will now return to its normal position: in front and above the display, something that will also benefit the design of the device as the bottom bezel will now be even smaller.
But since picture is not shown in full, we'll pend our conclusion. Also, the spy pictures shows that the “horns” around the cutout are wider, leaving more room for icons in the status bar compared to the iPhone.
Meanwhile, the authenticity of these images haven't been confirmed. But when holding the Mi Mix 2S, Xiaomi fans won't want friends to ask 'is that iPhone X?' Though OnePlus 5 and a host of other devices did copy the Iphone 7 design, and they're doing just fine in the market.
