Google Rolls out Unexpected Update to Several Pixel 2

A new, but unexpected update is now available for some Pixel 2 users, coming as the second in this month. It weighs about 41MB and most importantly, it fixes bugs and enhances performance and stability - though Google did state any change-log for this update. The new build number is not the same with the one seen on Pixel 2's Factory Images page, as it has been edited to OPM2.171019.016, making the update more mysterious.

Some Pixel 2 owners who installed the update reported the extermination of a bug that stopped Google Assistant from playing music stored on the phone. Thanks to this update, another users also said he is now able to shuffle his music library using Google Home. It's worth noting that Android 8.1 and the January security patch level on the phone were not altered.

Updates which accompanies the latest Android security patch, along with any bug fixes are always released to Pixel smartphones early every month. That's Google's standard!
