Right from inception, OnePlus Sandstone defined the company's approach to design, featuring in the OnePlus One phone, but was later ditched since OnePlus 3 in favor of metal. The good news is the Chinese OEM is bringing back sandstone much sooner rather than later.

A new OnePlus 5T model with "sandstone white" design is set to be unveiled on January 5th. It features the sandstone texture finish at the back, with black front approach, and a red colored power button according to leaks on Chinese retailer—JD.com. It seems this version will be available only in China, as informations on a Western market roll out is still sketchy.
This sandstone white OnePlus 5T will sport the regular edge-to-edge 6-inch AMOLED display, with 18:9 aspect ratio. The handset will only be offered in high-end 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage specification, paired with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip.
It supports fast Dash Charge and runs OxygenOS based on Android 7 Nougat straight from the box. The OnePlus 5T sandstone white model will be released for sale in China on the 9th of January, carrying the same $560 price tag as the regular black unlocked model.
