American software giant—Microsoft is set to release a new feature that will let users do away with the use of password on windows 10. The most recent Insider preview release with build 17093, relies on the Authenticator app on Android and iOS so passwords becomes completely useless.
Once the Authenticator app is installed on your mobile device, you'll be able to authorize or decline any request, and according to Microsoft, passwords would be removed completely from the operating system.
Windows 10 S users are currently enjoying this feature. It is restricted to this system for now because this feature needs to be thoroughly tested before being released to the public, as a slight bug could cause a total disaster to the security and privacy of users. Also, Windows 10 S and Windows 10 will soon be combined to form “S Mode,” thus, it won't be offered as an independent SKU.
