Android Oreo update is further rolling out to Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ in India, Poland and France; coming just a week after the software was released to these 2017 flagships in Netherlands and Germany. The update includes Samsung Experience 9.0 UI, carrying a firmware version G950/G955-FXXU1CRAP and weighing at 487.04MB.

Participants in the beta program in these countries will be among the first to receive the OTA update. Samsung is aiming to quickly push this Android Oreo on all Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ models before the launch of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9+ which is slated for February 25th during the Samsung Unpacked event in Barcelona. These 2018 flagships will run Samsung Experience 9.0 UI based on Android Oreo straight from the box.
Thanks to this Android Oreo update, users can now enjoy picture-in-picture feature, which allows you to play a video on the screen while using another app in the background. There's also Adaptive icons that gives the same app a different icon shape on various devices. The Settings menu is getting streamlined, and notification dots will appear on the icons of apps that have a notification that you have yet to tend to.
Before installing the Android 8.0 Oreo update on your Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+, make sure your phone is fully charged and you're connected to a Wi-Fi network.
