Huawei P20 Pro to Feature 40MP, 20MP and 8MP Tripple Camera

The official launch of Huawei P20, P20 Lite and the P20 Pro has been slated for March 27th, where the latter stands as the flagship phone of the Chinese company with high-end specifications, which includes three rear-facing cameras that feature Leica optics - probably its major selling point.

For images and videos duties, this camera is reportedly made up of a 40MP sensor, a 20MP (monochrome) sensor and an 8MP (telephoto) sensor. 5X magnification is available when using the zoom capabilities of the 40MP and 8MP sensors. Huawei calls this feature "Hybrid Zoom." The aperture on the cameras range from f/1.6 to f/2.4. Adorning the front is a selfie snapper weighing in at 24MP.

Huawei P20 Pro sports a 6.1-inch AMOLED display at 1080 x 2240 pixels resolution, with 19:9 aspect ratio and a "notch" on the display. A fingerprint scanner is embedded on the bottom bezel of the smartphone which is 7.65mm thin and weighs 174g.

In terms of performance, the phone comes with 6GB of RAM plus 128GB of native storage, and some markets will offer a variant with 256GB of storage. Under the hood is the indigenous Kirin 970 chipset and Neural Processing Units for AI capabilities.

A 4000mAh battery is present to keep the lights on, with support for Huawei's SuperCharge for faster charging. Other specs includes: Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and 28 LTE bands support, and IP67 certification rating. Huawei P20 Pro will likely cost €899 ($1,110 USD) in Europe, shipping in black and blue color variants.
