March Security Update Hits Unlocked BlackBerry KEYone

BlackBerry KEYone was launched in April last year, where about 850,000 units sold out in the same period. The phone which comes with physical keyboards, a fingerprint sensor placed in the space bar, and a long-lasting 3,505mAh battery to compliment the Snapdragon 625 chipset, etc., has been labeled as a success by TCL because it is available in 50 countries and from more than 110 carriers world-wide.

Adding to the success, March Android security update is now rolling out to the unlocked version of the KEYone on a region-by-region basis. Owners of this phone should simply tap the Updates button to see if your phone has received the new security patch. In a similar news, the unlocked BlackBerry DTEK50 recently received the March security update too.

Blackberry has promised to release two new handsets this year, with at least one of them featuring a physical QWERTY keyboard. Earlier this month, accessories for a BlackBerry KEYone 2 were discovered on Skinami's website, but TCL didn't make a single comment about a follow-up for the phone.

Meanwhile, the BlackBerry KEYone Bronze Edition has now been launched in the Middle East, featuring 4GB RAM and 64GB of native storage as against the 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage on the regular model. Besides the improved specs and its special bronze hue, the unit comes with dual SIM functionalities.
