Are These Nokia 9 Leaked Specs too Good to be True?

The Nokia 8 Sirocco will soon be dethroned by a real flagship; one that can rival the latest Samsung Galaxy and iPhone models, and that's most likely the upcoming Nokia 9. A new list of features of this yet-to-be-announced Nokia smartphone has leaked online, revealing very amazing and mighty specs.

The list shows that the Nokia 9 will sport a ZEISS-branded, triple-lens camera setup, coming with 41MP main (wide), 20MP (telephoto), and 9.7MP (monochrome) resolutions respectively. If you've taken a look at Huawei P20 Pro, you'd find these camera specs suspiciously similar, and it actually makes sense, seeing as how the triple-cam Huawei P20 Pro could very well be the result of a licensing deal between Nokia and Huawei. In addition, the 41MP sensor is also tipped to feature an f/1.5 - f/2.4 variable aperture, much like the Galaxy S9 +, with 1.4 um pixel size.

Most modern handsets favours LED flash over Xenon Flash, but going by the list, Nokia 9 will likely make use of both. Xenon flash is the type used in professional cameras. It is made up of a glass tube filled with xenon gas that discharges a short and very bright flash of white light when a high voltage is applied, which makes it unarguably brighter than the LED flashes. However, since Xenon flashes operate in short, powerful bursts, they cannot be used as flashlights, and this is where LED may come in to work. Unfortunately, the suggested dimensions of 150.6 x 75.2 x 7.3 mm for the Nokia 9 contradicts the use of both flashes, as Xenon flash modules tend to be on the bigger side. At 7.3 mm, the Nokia 9 would be very small to accommodate both a Xenon and an LED flash.

Also on the list is a 6.01-inch QHD OLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, and "in-glass" fingerprint recognition. The Nokia 9 is also rumoured to feature Snapdragon 845 SoC under the hood, IP68 ingress rating, a 3,900 mAh battery, and latest Android 8.1 Oreo pre-loaded.

Kindly share, but please take this with a pinch of salt.
