Doogee Mix 4 Will Feature a Slider That Hides its Ugliness

In recent times, so many smartphone manufacturers have started adopting the latest design trend, which is the notch. The truth is that a lot of users are not comfortable with this cutout on the display, and so they try to hide it natively (if provided) or by using third-party apps like Nacho Notch. Well, Doogee, a fairly-known brand is here with something entirely amazing; the company has launched a bezel-less and notch-less device, dubbed Doogee Mix 4, which features a slider that hides the selfie camera and other sensors in front.

Taking a look at the concept video released by a youtuber called Arun Maini (Mrwhosetheboss channel), the Doogee Mix 4 initially has a hefty bezel on top, but when the nifty slider is raised up, the phone turns to a beautiful bezel-less one, covering the front camera and, unfortunately, the light sensor and speaker. However, this design is brilliant because it has ridiculed the need for a notch and fat bezel.

Also, Doogee has proven to be smarter than Apple - who tried to hide the notch in iPhone X, but was unsuccessful. While other Android smartphone manufacturers are still working on how to natively blend the cutout (like OnePlus and Huawei), their method involves painting the status bar at the top so it will blend with the bezel's protrusion.

The Doogee Mix 4 sports a large 5.99-inch display with an impressive screen-to-body of about 97 percent, thanks to the tiny bezel that surrounds the screen. In the photo (below), we can see a fingerprint icon on the screen which hints that the company will make use of an in-display fingerprint scanner - remeber, the only phone that has this feature as of the time of this writing is Vivo X20 Plus UD.

The phone's thickness measures at 11mm because of it's dual-layer design which makes a soft sound when slid up or down to hide/reveal the camera. At the back, there is a primary dual-camera setup, and as reported by Maini, Doogee Mix 4 will be powered by a Snapdragon processor and will be available for purchase in December, following the 6 months launch interval each Doogee Mix model have between each other.
