After series of leaked specs, the HTC U12+ has finally been officially launched as the brand's 2018 flagship phone, standing as an upgrade to last year's U11+. The former has a metal build with glass body, while it sports a large 6-inch touchscreen display with 1440 × 2880 pixels resolution at a PPI of 537 pixels per inc, and an unspecificied version of Corning Gorilla Glass.

In terms of performance, the HTC U12+ is powered by 2.8GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (SDM845) processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM plus 64GB of internal storage and 6GB RAM plus 128GB native storage for smooth multitasking and enough space to store large files – which can further be expanded up to 2000GB via a microSD card. The handset runs Android 8.0 Oreo and uses a 3500mAh non removable battery to keep the lights on.

For image and video duties, the HTC U12+ features a dual camera setup of 12-ultrapixel primary sensor and 16-megapixel secondary lens equipped with dual LED. Another pair of 8MP front-facing shooter is present on the dual SIM (nano only) phone. The selfie camera has facial recognition feature and there is a fingerprint scanner on the back. Connectivity specs includes: Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 3G and 4G.
