DISPLAY & DESIGN

The phone sports a large 6-inch IPS LCD display at 720 × 1440 pixels resolution, with the trending 18:9 aspect ratio (first in the Infinix Hot series) and reduced bezels – prompting a futuristic look. As for the design, the phone has sleek lines with seamless curved edges and elegant U-shaped cover lines which gives users a firm grip on the phone.

Infinix Hot 6 is built with plastic and TFT materials. The dual cameras and LED flash are horizontally placed at the top left corner, with the fingerprint scanner aligned towards the center. The phone—which measures at 160.43 × 76.21 × 8.6 dimension and weighs in at 158 grams—will be available in four color options: Sandstone Black, Magic Gold, Bordeaux Red and City Blue.

CAMERA

For images and videos duties, the Infinix Hot 6 features a dual camera setup of 13MP + 2MP sensors, equipped with autofocus, F/2.0 aperture, Dual LED flash, 2x optical zoom and face detection. On the other side, there is a front-facing shooter for selfies and video chat, paired with a soft selfie flash.

Other features of the cameras includes HDR, Panorama, Portrait mode, Scene mode, Geotagging, continuous shooting, Self-timer, Touch Focus, White balance settings and Bokeh effect. In addition, the phones should be able to record videos of up to 1080p at 30fps.

SECURITY

To unlock the Infinix Hot 6 and safeguard your apps, files and data, you can make use of the Face Unlock feature with the front camera, or Fingerprint scanner at the back of the handset. The latter uses Face++ tech with up to 1024 special facial points, enabling you unlock your smartphone at different angles.

PROCESSOR

To keep the lights on, a non-removable Li-Ion 4000 mAh battery capacity with fast charging technology (Quick Charge 2.0). Infinix Mobility claims the Hot 6 will last 2 days on a single charge, and thanks to the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take up to 2 hours to charge from 0% to 100% battery capacity.

With this phone battery on standby, it will last 28 days, while 48 hours talk time on 2G network and 31 hours on 3G network is guaranteed.

The Infinix Hot 6 was launched yesterday (Saturday 12) in Kenya, but is now available in other African countries like Nigeria, Ghana, etc. It is now available in some brick and mortar stores, and online shops with a price tag of Kes.15,699 or N56,500.
