Leagoo S9 tagged as the “First Ever Android iPhone X”

Just as Tecno is in partnership with Manchester City FC, it's no more news that Leagoo are the official mobile phone partners with Tottenham Hotspur, so that's why sometimes you see the club players in images of the brand's phone. The Chinese manufacturer has launched a new smartphone called Leagoo S9 which sports similar design with Apple's iPhone X.



The Leagoo S9 comes with a large 5.85-inch edge-to-edge display at 1512 × 720 HD+ resolution with IPS screen technology and a notch on top. In terms of performance, the 4G device is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek MT6750 chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage that can further be expanded via microSD card to 128GB. Leagoo S9 runs Android 8.1 Oreo OS and uses a non-removable 3,300mAh battery to keep the lights on.

For images and video duties, Leagoo S9 features a dual rear camera setup of Sony 13MP/2MP lens and with the 65MP ultra-HD shot algorithm, which makes a photo shot on the S9 be enlarged 23 times without losing its original HD quality. There is a fingerprint scanner at the back too. The 8MP front-facing camera is equipped with Face Unlock function which takes 0.1s to unlock the phone, same with the fingerprint ID.

Despite being an iPhone X clone, the Leagoo S9 only 1/7 of the budget of former. The price ranges from $149 to $199, equivalent to ₦40,000 – N60,000.
