Nowadays, it is not so surprising to see new smartphones cleared off the shelves within few seconds. Last month, the Nokia X6 sold out in just 10 seconds, and before then, the Huawei P20 Pro also ran out of stock within similar time. Now, the recently launched Xiaomi Mi 8 turned out to be extremely popular, selling out in under one minute.

This is not the first time a Xiaomi-branded handset is selling out so quickly; the Redmi Note 5 also sold out within 10 seconds back in February. And now, the flagship Mi 8 that was announced just last week didn't last up to a minute in the first flash sale organized by the Chinese company that went live today.
To be precise, the Xiaomi Mi 8 sold out in 37 seconds, and this can be attributed to the pricing of the smartphone which played an important role in making the phone very popular and thus, ran out of stock. Looking pretty much like Apple’s iPhone X with plenty of amazing features and just around $420 retail price, the Mi 8 is obviously a good buy!
In addition, the hardware of the phone comes with tempting specs, including the mighty Snapdragon 845 processor and 6GB of RAM. To cap it off, Xiaomi added option to choose between 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage variants. Other specs includes a pair of 12MP rear camera with Al capabilities, and a 20MP selfie shooter placed within the display notch, and equipped with 3D facial recognition technology, standing as the first Android smartphone with that feature.
If you missed out on the previous flash sale, there is another opportunity to get your hands on the Xiaomi Mi 8 via the next flash sale that is slated to commence on June 12 in China. This flagship phone will also be made available in Egypt, France, India, Italy, Russia, Spain, and Vietnam in the coming months.
