Asus ZenFone Max (M1) Launched With Fingerprint Scanner and Face Unlock

Phones with great specifications are usually expensive, but that's not the case with Asus Zenfone Max (M1). The Taiwan-based company have launched this smartphone with a powerful battery and also a very good camera for under $200.

Asus Zenfone Max (M1) sports a 5.5 inches IPS LCD display at 720 x 1440 pixels resolution, with 18:9 aspect ratio on an Aluminum body. The handset features a dual camera setup of 13MP plus 8MP sensors equipped with LED flash, and a single 8-megapixel shooter in front for selfies and video chat. For security, there is a fingerprint biometric scanner on the back, and also face unlock function.

In terms of performance, Asus Zenfone Max (M1) comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, with up to 256GB expanded microSD card memory option. Under the hood, the phone uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, as it also runs Android 8 Oreo out of the box, with support for picture-in-picture mode and other Oreo features.

The 4000 mAH battery lasts long as it can provide up to 16 hours of movie time, 23 hours of Wi-Fi browsing, 36 hours of call time, and 41 days if left idle. The phone also supports flash charging, and can also keep the lights on for two days on only a single charge.

Sensors on the device includes: Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Compass. While connectivity options are Bluetooth, WiFi, USB 2.0. The phone is set to cost just $169, which is equivalent to ₦60,000 (exchange rate at the time of writing this article).
