Honor 10 GT Unveiled as the First Huawei Phone With 8GB RAM

We witnessed the introduction of Huawei's GPU Turbo technology few days ago, which is paving the way for the coming of the brand's dedicated gaming phone later this year; since Huawei announced that they would start rolling out devices that feature this amazing performance enhancing software. Now, Honor (a sub-brand of Huawei) has already put this to work and announced a new variant of Honor 10 that is making use of this technology.

This new variant is called the Honor 10 GT. Although it has almost the same specifications as the regular Honor 10 – large 5.84-inch display, kirin processor, 24-megapixel front and back camera –, Honor 10 GT appears to be an attempt to market the gaming capabilities of the Honor smartphones. The only noticeable upgrade on this phone is that it has 8GB of RAM, which makes it the first Huawei device to have it. Whereas, the regular Honor 10 comes with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

With the Honor 10 GT and any other smartphone associated with this processor, users are expected to experience a performance boost of around 60% when playing games. Meanwhile, it is important to know that the Honor 10 will also receive the GPU Turbo technology via a future update.

The prices of this upcoming device haven't been disclosed yet, although sales are expected to start from July 24 in China.
