What's the name of your hotspot again? The names that come with the hotspots by default can be hard to remember, boring, or easy to mistake for another hotspot. Fortunately, you can change the name on either your Android or iPhone to make it easier to find! You will learn how to modify the hotspot name and password on your Android and iPhone in this TechPad article.
  1. Open Options. By tapping the gear app icon or the gear icon in the Quick Menu that appears when you swipe down from the top of your screen, you can accomplish this.
  2. The steps in this procedure are the same regardless of the model of the phone you have.
  3. Select Networks & Wireless. Usually, it is next to a globe icon that is networked.
  4. Instead, "Connectivity" is displayed on some phones, like the Samsung Galaxy.
  5. Select Hotspot & Tethering from the menu. Instead, it might be referred to as "Mobile Hotspot and Tethering."
  6. Click the Wi-Fi hotspot. You can see the details of your hotspot by typing "Mobile Hotspot" instead.
  7. Configure or tap the name of your hotspot. To edit the Network name field, tap it if you selected Configure.
  8. Change the name of your hotspot. You can enter a new name after erasing the text that is already there by pressing the backspace arrow on your keyboard.
  9. You can also change the password that you have set for your hotspot by tapping the "Password" field.
  10. Click Save. Before exiting the menu, ensure that the updated data is saved.
