It seems Nigerians are loving the new brand name, as reports from the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC reveals that more subscribers are porting to 9Mobile, which was formerly knowns as Etisalat.

NCC disclosed that 39,535 total porting activities took place in May, where 19,816 were 'Incoming Porting Activities,' and 19,719 were 'Outgoing Porting Activities.'
9Mobile amazingly recorded the highest number of porting subscribers with a total of 15,253 subscribers joining the network from other telcos likes Globacom, Airtel And MTN.
Airtel NG, which has being doing good in its data department, holds the second place with 2,597 recorded subscribers porting in. MTN came third with 1,245 subscribers while GLO recorded the least number of subscribers porting in, thereby holding the fourth place.
In terms of outgoing porting activities,9mobile recorded the lowest number of outgoing subscribers with 1,826 subscribers porting out.

Glo didn't satisfy 4,786 subscribers (which i'm certain is due to poor network), thereby making them port out. Airtel recorded 6,540 subscribers leaving the network, and MTN lost the most, with 6,567 subscribers porting out.
If only our telcos lends us a listening hear, more subscribers will steadily and consistently be rolling in. MTN should stop extorting innocent customers and GLO should improve her network. Simple as ABC!
