Whatsapp is consistently testing new features on its social messaging app. And according to WABetaInfo, the latest awaiting inclusion is the PiP video calling feature. PiP meaning "Picture-in-Picture" mode.

Whatsapp PiP calling feature will enable users minimize the video call window into a smaller window so you can keep your video conversation going while replying other WhatsApp chat messages. However, it is currently unclear if the small video chat window will be a floating window that can be dragged around.
We also know little if the video conference would continue even after minimizing WhatsApp. If so, this would be one of the first video calling apps to allow this type of multi-tasking on a smartphone platform.

The Whatsapp Pip Picture-in-Picture mode video calling feature is already available on WhatsApp beta version 2.17.265 for Android devices, which runs on Android O Developer Preview.

Wow! Nice feature. Everyday, WhatsApp tests and rollout many good features, some are visible, while others aren't. Kudos!
