It's no news that all telcom operators in Nigeria has released 4G LTE network, which is a mobile communications standard intended to replace 3G, allowing wireless Internet access at a much higher speed. I think Smile network started this 4G trend in Nigeria, and seeing how it was welcomed by the public, other networks followed suit.
Now, MTN, Glo, 9mobile(etisalat), Airtel and other internet service providers (ISP) like Smile, Spectranet, and Swift 4G also boasts of having 4G network. Tough you must buy a router, mifi, modern or 4G LTE supported device from some of the services mentioned above, and make sure the band of the device corresponds with that of your ISP.
One major set-back is the slow and poor coverage of 4G LTE in Nigeria. While some states are still struggling to use 3G network, some has already being covered with 4G LTE network from several operators in the country.

Though still new, I'm ashamed Ntel 4G stills covers only 3 –though major– states in Nigeria which are;

Smile 4G is one of the fastest in Nigeria with splendid coverage in these part of Nigeria
GLO 4G
GLO 4G network has a stronghold of these areas;
9Mobile 4G which was announced by this time last year, and Airtel 4G (announced by April) are partially active in Lagos and Abuja, but they are gradually coming up in other areas. More updates on them will be available when they start gaining grounds.
