Just few days after WhatsApp rolled out the message revoke feature —which lets users delete messages/chats sent in error, the popular IM is set to release another feature dubbed "group member search." This update will enable both group Admins and members to easily search for each other in a particular group, instead of scrolling down the list of members.
The WhatsApp search for group members will be available to all whatsapp groups with 10 or more members in it. You can access it when you click on a group and go to list of members section, just on top of members names.
Instead of scrolling up and down in search of a particular member, all you need to do is just type the name in the search box and it will appear.
While we await group voice call feature, the group search update is already added to WhatsApp beta for Android 2.17.407. In no time, it will be released globally for all users.
