Airtel 4G LTE Ready to hit Lagos, Abuja and Port-Harcourt This Month

Airtel NG was the last telco network to announce their 4G LTE service in Nigeria, despite been the first to complete a successful 4G trial in Lagos. Since the announcement, we've all been waiting for the service to be rolled out in some areas. The good news now is Airtel 4G LTE network will be active in three(3) states this month. Better late than never, I guess.

Airtel 4G

This December, Airtel NG will release their 4G LTE network to Lagos, Abuja and Port-Harcourt which are considered as the A-1 states in Nigeria, a d hopefully, other states will be included. This was made known by an insider who craved anonymity.

Last month, Airtel signed a three-year contract with Ericsson to transform its core network in Nigeria thereby enabling faster mobile broadband. Remember Visafone's acquisition is one factor that boosted MTN 4G LTE service, in the same vein, Airtel's partnership with Ericson for core network upgrade will also help improve the latter's 4G service.

Airtel 4G will be really great, as their 3G is even better than some telcos '4G' 😂.
